A Lil' Personal History
Since painting my first mural on my bedroom wall at 12 years old, I have been hooked on murals. I painted murals throughout high school and art college but my career as a mural artist began in 1996 while living in CA mostly painting in residential homes. In 2000, I moved back to my home state of NJ where I continued to paint for a host of clients in the tri-state area. I worked for a diverse array of clients: from preschools to 20,000 square foot restaurants, in addition to private homes.
Since 2017, I have resided in York, PA switching my main focus on selling my original paintings and have become more particular about mural projects. I now choose projects with subject matter that emulates my original artwork.
After decades of mural painting, I decided to try my hand at selling my own original art. I opened an artist collective, Naked Chick Art, inside York Central Market where I could reach a large cross section of a diverse community. Four years later, the opportunity to open my own storefront, The Artful Nest, emerged in a much smaller town, Marietta, PA, at the beginning of a revival. This welcoming and supportive neighborhood helped make this move my most successful. I now call many of my customers friends and feel energized by being part of a growing business community.
